The composition of this photo is successful because it kind of uses rule of thirds and the cup isn't in the center of the picture. The lighting in this photo works because there aren't really any spots where it is brighter than others and in the drink you can see through the ice cubes. The subject matter is engaging because the cup is the only thing in the picture and you can only really see the outline of the cup and the drink inside it. Also, seeing the ice cubes is really cool. This picture is interesting because there is very strong contrast and the cup is back lit so you can see through the ice.

The composition in this picture is successful because it uses rule of thirds. It's interesting how there is kind of a window in the fence that goes somewhere else, but also looks like a mirror yet there is no person on this side of the fence. The lighting on the top of the fence is brighter than the bottom and the fence has completely different lighting that the lighting on the girl. The lighting on the girl is very bright and makes a lot of contrast between her hair and skin. The girl being kind of inside the mirror makes the photo very engaging. Also there are lots of darker colors and the girls skin really contrasts the rest of the picture and stands out. The red lips and apple also really stand out. The fact that the girl is kind of like Snow White makes the picture very interesting. It is also interesting because the girl appears to be trapped inside the mirror/window.
